Vegan Protein Recipes Made with Free Soul Chocolate Protein Blend

I don't know about you but when the weather is cold, it puts me in the mood for chocolate. We've compiled a few chocolate protein recipes that are Free Soul's favourites - difficulty to make ranging from super simple, to easy and finally, to show off!

1. Chocolate Protein Smoothie

Level: Super Simple

Ingredients

  • 30g Free Soul Chocolate Vegan Protein Blend
  • 275ml chocolate almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • a handful of ice
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs

Recipe

If you're in a rush, it's easy and super fast, take everything above, blend it all up, and enjoy!

If you're doing it for the 'gram, blend everything except for the banana and cacao nibs. Then pour into a glass and add in the chopped banana so you can see it from the outside, then garnish on top with the cacao nibs.

2. Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

Level: Easy

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 1tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 scoop of Free Soul chocolate Vegan Protein Blend
  • 1 tbsp of raw cacao powder

Recipe

Simply place all the ingredients into a food processor and blitz until it's all mixed and combined together.

If the mixture is slightly thick, add a small amount of water or almond milk until you reach your desired consistency.

Top with lots of fruit, you can use dried or frozen or fresh fruit, depending on what you like.

And a spoon of dairy-free yoghurt for a little extra protein. Or any other dairy-free alternative.

And enjoy!

3. Jazzle Chocolate Protein Brownies

Level: Show-off

Ingredients

  • 45g Free Soul Chocolate Vegan Protein Blend
  • 250g apple sauce
  • 35g cacao powder
  • 165g nut butter
  • 80g honey
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • (optional jazzles/desiccated coconut for toppings)

Recipe

Preheat oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray (I used a silicone mould).

Melt the nut butter until it is easily stir-able.

Add all ingredients in a bowl and mix until combined.

Spread the mixture evenly in the mould and place in the centre of
the oven for 20-25 minutes (depending on how gooey you want them to
be!)

They might still be slightly underdone when you take them out of
the oven, but the residual heat will mean they continue cooking.

Let them cool for 10-15 minutes, decorate with desired toppings
(jazzles optional).

Brownies will keep for 2-3 days in the fridge or a month in the freezer.

Enjoy a delicious and healthy treat packed with vegan protein powder!
