The Free Soul Story

The Free Soul Story

Impacting the lives of women through the power of nutrition.

Because well-being isn’t one-size-fits-all, but it should be for us all.

On the outskirts of London, at a time when high-end health clubs and fleeting fitness trends dominated the industry, warped by standards that did little to empower women - Free Soul was born.

It wasn’t created in a boardroom, or as part of a marketing strategy. It was the result of a deeply personal journey.

And In 2017, Rohini and Arjun Sofat found themselves navigating an incredibly difficult time: Rohini’s husband, and Arjun’s father, was facing a critical health scare.

For Rohini, a mother committed to her health, staying active became her anchor. She turned to nutrition and exercise to cope with stress, quickly realising something was missing.

Moments like these force you to reevaluate everything - what truly matters, how we care for ourselves and how we support the people we love, it was the catalyst that sparked Free Soul into life.

The market was flooded with products that treated women’s health as an afterthought. The few products ‘for women’ were either watered-down versions of men’s supplements or rooted in outdated messaging: be smaller, be thinner, take up less space.

It was 2017, the era of diet culture disguised as wellness. If you were a woman, the options were almost exclusively ‘slim shakes.’ If you were a man, they were for ‘bulking and shredding.’

The industry was failing women - oversimplifying their needs, ignoring their menstrual cycles, delicate hormone balance - all while reducing their wellbeing to one simple goal: aesthetics.

Women deserved better. And Free Soul was going to change that.

A brand built for women, not just marketed to them.

We've never been shy about our story - Free Soul exists because of Rohini and Arjun’s journey, their firsthand experience with the gaps in women's nutrition, and their ambition to create something that catered specifically to them.

Rohini brought the knowledge and lived experience of a woman in nutrition, she brought the needs and desires of woman everywhere with the vision of the products they would need to serve them. To this day the needs of those women remain Free Soul’s absolute focus and Rohini remains deeply engaged with our customers' journeys.

Arjun, at the time exploring a career in finance, threw himself into supporting his mother’s mission. From driving across London to bring test shakes to gyms, to learning how to create supply chains from scratch, he committed himself completely to bringing the Free Soul vision to life.

Rohini and Arjun formed a powerful duo, bonded by their family’s experience and complimenting each other’s skill sets.

But this brand was never about our founders.

It’s about you. The millions of women we serve every day. We have always, and will continue to, put the voices and stories of our female-led community at the forefront of our ever-evolving story.

Since launching with a single product - our, now iconic, Vegan Protein Blend - Free Soul has grown into the home of women’s wellbeing.

A brand built on community, education, inclusivity and inspiration, with a comprehensive range of products - all formulated with women, and their body’s unique needs, in mind.

We’ve impacted the lives of over 2 million women across the globe, brought thousands together at in-person events and started conversations that most brands shy away from. We don’t just sell products; we are committed to educating and shining a light on the areas of women’s wellbeing that have been overlooked for too long.

PCOS? We’ve created awareness to support women dealing with hormone imbalances and help them regain control.

Endometriosis? We’ve worked with ambassadors who’ve faced surgeries and treatments head-on, sharing their powerful stories and raising awareness.

Menopause? Thousands of our customers rely on our natural products every day to support their wellbeing.

Bone Health? We’ve formulated products that help women when thinking about osteoporosis and improve bone density as they age.

Gut Health? We’ve crafted supplements to support digestive health.

Periods? Yeah, we talk about them. A lot. It’s kind of a given around here and there is no such thing as ‘TMI’.

Free Soul is more than nutrition, it’s a movement to reshape the conversation around women’s wellbeing.

What began as a family’s struggle has grown into a global community of like-minded women - breaking taboos, demanding better and redefining our wellbeing on our own terms.
