Protein-packed matcha overnight oats topped with sticky caramelised bananas, nutty pistachios and a generous drizzle of maple syrup. Quick, nourishing and really quite good, prepared long before you need your coffee to kick in.
Made with slow-release oats, protein powder and ceremonial-grade matcha, these overnight oats support energy, fullness and focus throughout the morning. The combination of complex carbohydrates, protein and matcha's gentle caffeine provides a balanced start to the day, making them an ideal breakfast for busy mornings.
They're also perfect for meal prep. Simply make a batch ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the fridge.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk of choice
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 25g Matcha Protein powder
Toppings
- Caramelised bananas
- Greek yoghurt
- Pistachios
- Cocoa nibs
- Maple syrup
Method
- Mix your oats, milk of choice and Matcha Protein until smooth and creamy.
- Chill them overnight (or for at least 4 hours for the time-short ones amongst us).
- For the banana on top, just let bananas caramelise in a pan with a little golden syrup until golden and irresistible looking.
- Finally, top your gorgeously green oats with a dollop of yoghurt, bananas, pistachios and cocoa nibs. Drizzle generously with maple syrup and enjoy.
For the best flavour and texture, enjoy your matcha overnight oats within 2–3 days, giving them a quick stir before serving and adding your favourite toppings when you're ready to eat.
