Could you be more eco-friendly?

Lately it seems the eco-revolution has taken over and we could not be more THRILLED about it at Free Soul! But maybe you think you could do a little more.

Here are 10 ways for you to change small habits that can have a big impact!

1. TURN IT OFF

Pay attention to the extra energy that you're sneakily wasting when things are left switched on. Make sure you turn everything off, it's one of the best ways to reduce your carbon footprint!

2. EAT LESS MEAT

You don't have to switch to veganism or veggie, even reducing your consumption to 1-2 times a week vs. every other day will have a large impact. It's important to supplement your protein intake if you are reducing your meat consumption! Our blends are a fantastic way to do this.

3. RECYCLE EVERYTHING

Some items that are non-recyclable have recyclable parts! If its not possible, try and reuse all the containers and jars.

4. CUT OUT PLASTIC

This one seems obvious! Plastic has made it's way into every aspect of our lives and it's important to try and reduce the power it has gained. Bamboo/ metal straws, reusable bottles (or shakers), reusable bags and other easy everyday switches can make the difference!

5. GROCERY DELIVERY

This escapes most people but getting your groceries delivered can make a massive difference. Imagine 12 cars driving to the shops vs. 1 delivery truck going to 12 addresses.

6. DON'T DRIVE

Try your best to use public transport where possible! Bicycles, buses or trams are a much better alternative and save you time if you live in a busy city!

7. DITCH THE PAPER TOWELS

Disposable paper towels are expensive and very wasteful. Instead, use tea towels or or small kitchen towels which can be washed and reused so many times over.

8. BUY LOCAL

The closer to home you shop the less carbon footprint transportation causes! Plus you will help the local economy and end up with more local stores!

9. FIX IT

Don't throw it! so often we bin something that we have not even had for that long as it is easier to buy a new one. Google can help you fix almost anything.

10. GROW YOUR OWN

Growing your own vegetables is not only cheaper but more eco-friendly. If you don't have a garden, a window sill box is a great option!
