From running yourself a bath, to cooking your favourite dinner, buying yourself a bunch of flowers and even lighting a candle. These simple but effective acts can boost your serotonin levels (a.k.a the happy hormone), and that’s a pretty fail-proof way to bring a little joy into your day.

 

Be Kind
Compliments, support, encouragement, pride. You need it too. And, no, it doesn’t have to come from someone else. Try starting the day by paying yourself a compliment. In fact, if you’re reading this. Pay one to yourself right now.

 

Do something you enjoy
Baking, cooking, dancing, running, reading. Plan time to enjoy an activity you love or get out of your comfort zone and try something new.

 

Happy Place
Mental or physical, find somewhere that makes you feel good. Whether it’s a memory or special spot you can visit, think of somewhere you can transport yourself. You'll thank us later.

Celebrate your success
Big or small, celebrate each win. When you’re working hard you deserve to be rewarded, and we’re giving you the permission to treat yourself. You deserve it.

 

Remember, we all love differently, and self-love is much the same. There really is no right or wrong. As long as you feel connected and empowered by what you’re doing, you’re heading in the right direction. Oh, and, don’t save your self-love for just one day a year.
